A Columbus City School official tied to the district's data "scrubbing" investigation is stepping down earlier than previously announced.

Stanley Pyle is the assistant principal at Briggs High School.

Pyle submitted his resignation in January.

He was going to leave at the end of the school year, but 10TV has learned that he is using his accrued personal time to leave office now.

In February, 10 Investigates uncovered documents that suggested Pyle changed numerous grades from F's to D's as the assistant principal at Marion Franklin High School.
