Columbus Blue Jackets fans camping out for tickets to playoff game six got a big surprise Sunday night.

Fans were camping outside Nationwide Arena for the green seat tickets that go on sale Monday at 5:00 p.m.

Jackets fan Charles Prior said he had been in line since 8:00 p.m. Sunday because he didn't want to miss out on tickets, after almost missing tickets for game four.

Prior said while waiting in line, Cam Atkinson, the right wing for the Jackets, showed up outside Nationwide and surprised the fans.

Prior said that Atkinson, "passed out hockey sticks, autographs and then even paid for our tickets. They support us as we support them." Prior said,  "Apparently he and his dad were out to dinner and the dad wanted Cam to show him how much they appreciated fans. They are as excited about the 5th line as we are."

Later in the night, Atkinson tweeted, "love the fans," minutes after his visit.

There are 250 green tickets being sold for $40 each starting at 5:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. game.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are leading the series 3-2.
