City Leaders Propose Unprecedented Investment For Road Re-Surfacing

Mayor Michael Coleman and city council officials presented the proposed 2013 Capital Budget on Tuesday.

The proposal includes spending $65 million on roads over the next two years - an unprecedented investment in road resurfacing.

The proposal also includes more than $4.5 million for the Maryland Swimming Pool on the near east side, $5 million for the Reeb Road School and $2.5 million to demolish vacant houses.

The budget proposal also includes $500,000 to add more neighborhood safety cameras.

Council is slated to vote on the proposed budget in April.
