Church Leaders Say They Got Boot After Building Sold To New Owners
A leader in the Family Faith Fellowship said that he went to the building where his church is, only to find the locks changed.
Pastor William White said that he knew that his church would have to leave its building, located on Scarborough Boulevard, because of its recent sale.
White said that he had no idea it would be so soon.
He said that when he arrived at the church on Friday, the new owner was there and gave him access to the church. He also gave him seven days to get his things out of the building.
“We had no idea we’d been looked upon like nothing, when we were trying to do such good things in the community,” said White.
Mark O’Hara, the owner of Speedio, a slot car race track that shares the building with the church, said that he did not have any notice of the eviction.
“I don’t have an eviction notice or anything, you know, I paid the rent,” O’Hara said.
10TV News reached out to the owner of the property via email but did not immediately receive a response.
