The Ross County Coroner ruled a man's death a homicide Monday.

Patrick Thomas, 39, died August 24 after being tackled on a Chillicothe porch.

Coroner John A. Gabis said Thomas died of blunt force trauma.

Jennifer Elliot, a mother of four children, told 10TV in August that Thomas terrorized her family in the middle of the night inside their own home.

She says her family fought back and even neighbors tried to help, but later that night, he died at a hospital.

The Ross County Sheriff's Office said the case was handed over to the prosecutor for review.

No charges have been filed in Thomas' death.
