Chillicothe Investigation Finds Police Chief Did Nothing Criminal, Will Keep Job

A mayoral investigation into the Chillicothe Police Chief Roger Moore is complete, and Moore will not lose his job.

Moore was under scrutiny after being involved in an altercation at the Cozy Inn on March 16.

The chief was recorded on cell phone video engaged in a heated verbal exchange with another person.

Mayor Jack A. Everson said in a release that Moore did nothing criminal on that evening. He added that no witnesses were willing to come forward and use their names.

Everson said he tried to have an outside agency look into the incident, but was unable to find one to do so.

The mayor said the incident will be placed in Moore's personnel file.
