Child Struck By Car In Utica

Utica Police said a 9-year-old child was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon.

The child was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus by a medical helicopter.

Police said the child was struck in the 300 block of South Main Street around 2:45 p.m.

A Utica Police patrolman told 10TV's Kristyn Hartman the driver that hit the car stopped at the scene.

The child's condition was not released Tuesday night.

The crash remains under investigation.
