Charter Bus Crashes On West Side Of Columbus

A charter bus travelling on the west side of Columbus turned on its side Sunday morning after 7 a.m.

The crash was reported on the ramp from eastbound I-70 to northbound I-270. The ramp was closed while emergency crews were on the scene. It was expected to reopen around 12:30 p.m.

Authorities on the scene told 10TV that 14 people were on the bus at the time of the crash. Four of the individuals were adults and the rest were juveniles, mostly teens.

The bus was headed from a school event in St. Louis to New York. Authorities did not say from where the bus left.
Multiple people were transported to hospitals from the scene, but the injuries did not appear life threatening.
