Charges Pending After Investigators Identified Suspects In December Lumber Yard Arson

The Madison Township Fire Department announced on Thursday afternoon that charges are expected to be filed in a late 2012 arson.

Madison Township Fire Chief Robert Bates said that the charges come after an active investigation into a two-alarm fire at an abandoned lumber yard at 45 East Waterloo Street in December.

The cause of the fire was determined to be arson at the time.

The chief said that charges were being prepared and were expected to be filed with the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office within a week.
