Car Hits Gas Line; House In Southeast Columbus

Gas company crews turned off service to a home after a car hit a gas meter and a home Tuesday night.

Police said an elderly couple was behind the wheel when it hit a home in the 3400 block of Petzinger Road in Southeast Columbus Tuesday night.

No one in the car or the home was injured.

The home was evacuated while gas company workers turned off the gas to the home.

It's unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
