Car Crashes Into Southeast Columbus Home

A car crashed into a home on Woodcrest Road Monday morning on the southeast side of Columbus.

The car pushed a railing up against the home and cracked siding.

The impact awoke homeowner Linda Clark. She says she immediately knew a car had hit her home.

She says she wants changes along Woodcrest Road because this is not the first time it has happened.

Clark says cars have gone into her lawn more than a dozen times, but this is the first time one has hit her house.

"Nobody goes 35 through here. This is a 35 mile per hour zone, and they don't do it. You can hear the cars passing now you know they're doing 40 or 50,” said Clark.

The driver of the car told 10TV that he slid while driving down the road and when through three lawns before hitting Clark’s home.

No injuries were reported.
