Car Crash Knocks Out Power Near Hilliard

Columbus Police were searching for a driver who they said hit a utility pole and took off.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. at Walcutt Road and Vulcan Avenue.

The accident knocked out power to more than 4,000 people in west Columbus and Hilliard.

Traffic lights were out because of the crash along Hilliard-Rome Road in both directions between I-70 and Roberts Road.

No word yet on when power would be restored.
