Businesses Evacuated Due To Gas Leak On North Side
Several businesses on the north side of Columbus had to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to a gas leak.
A leak of a 4-inch gas line was reported around 4 p.m. at Schrock and Karl Roads. Schrock Road was closed in both directions.
The leak was less than 5 miles away from another gas leak earlier in the day on North High Street.
Officials did not say what caused the leak or if they were related.
Schrock Road reopened at about 5:45 p.m. All people who were evacuated were allowed back in the buildings.
