Burglar Targets Two Homes, Minutes Apart

Columbus police have arrested a suspect accused of breaking into two occupied homes near East Columbus early Wednesday.

The first break-in happened on North Monroe Street at 2:50 a.m.

Police said the suspect, a stranger, entered the resident's house.

It is unclear what was taken.

About 20 minutes later,  police said that same suspect entered a second occupied home near Miami Avenue and Long Street at 3:08 a.m.

The man was arrested a short time later and taken to police headquarters.  

His name and charges have not been released.
