Bowling Green To Increase Tuition For 2013-2014 School Year

Bowling Green State University in northern Ohio is raising its tuition for the next school year.

The university's trustees on Friday approved a 2 percent increase for students' general fees and for instructional fees for in-state, undergraduate students. The changes will cost full-time students at its main campus a little over $100 more per semester.

The total cost for tuition and fees for the year would be just under $10,600.

The changes come as the school anticipates getting about $3 million less in state support for the 2014 fiscal year, partly because of changes in the funding formula.

The increase for the upcoming school year is smaller than last year's increase of 3.5 percent.
