Blue Jackets Acquire Forward, 5th Rd. Pick in Exchange for Frattin

The Blue Jackets have acquired forward Jerry D’Amigo and a conditional seventh round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Matt Frattin, General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced on Tuesday. 

23-year-old D’Amigo appeared in 22 games with Toronto last season. He recorded one goal, two assists, three points and 12 shots on goal with the Maple Leafs.

Meanwhile, the Jackets also re-signed defenseman Frédéric St-Denis to a one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) contract on Tuesday.  St-Denis, 28, tallied nine goals, 17 assists, 26 points, 32 penalty minutes and a +16 plus/minus rating in 60 games played for the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons in 2013-14.
