Black Bear Makes Another Appearance In Southwest Ohio

The black bear that has been prowling suburban Cincinnati has made another appearance, and residents are hungry to get a look.

The young bear, which wildlife officials believe swam across the Ohio River from Kentucky, has been wandering neighborhoods for about two weeks.

After disappearing for about a week, the bear was spotted again Tuesday in a neighborhood on the city's east side.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that by noon Tuesday, the bear had drawn a crowd of residents trying to get a peek. So many people were looking for it in the woods of Clepper Park that police had to intervene.

Ohio wildlife officials have been warning people to stay away from the bear, believed to be 2 or 3 years old and about 85 pounds.
