Big Changes In The Forecast Begin With Storms Sunday

A warm and muggy evening is in the forecast with a gradual increase in clouds tonight. Temperatures will hold to around 70 degrees. A cold front will spark thunderstorms to the north and west of central Ohio late tonight. Some of these storms may move into central Ohio overnight through early Sunday morning as they weaken. However more storms will develop Sunday afternoon. A few of these storms could be strong to severe Sunday afternoon and evening with damaging winds and large hail possible. Also, due to the slow movement of the front, locally heavy rainfall will be possible. Despite clouds and rain, temperatures will still rise into the middle 80s Sunday.
A second cold front will cross central Ohio on Monday bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms could also be strong, mainly across southeast Ohio. Much cooler, less humid air will filter in behind the front Monday night with unseasonably cool temperatures expected Tuesday through Thursday. Highs will hold in the lower to middle 70s with lows in the lower to middle 50s. Temperatures will rebound back to normal by the end of next week.

Inconvenient Weather: Scattered thunderstorms will develop across northern Ohio tonight. These storms may drift into the northern part of central Ohio by early Sunday morning. More storms will develop across the area on Sunday and a few of these storms may be strong to severe. Storms may contain damaging wind and large hail by late Sunday. Also, locally heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding through Sunday night. More storms are expected on Monday before the front clears the state Monday evening.
