Better Business Bureau Warns Central Ohio Seniors Of Medical Device Scam

The Better Business Bureau is warning central Ohio residents of a medical device scam.

The bureau said automated calls are telling seniors they have won a free emergency alert system, but then ask for credit card information.

The BBB said anyone who receives these calls should hang up.

The BBB also warns residents not to pay for anything they are sent by the company, even if legal action is threatened.

The Federal Trade Commission said residents’ have a legal right to keep whatever is sent as a “free gift.”
