Bellefontaine Man Faces 17 Charges For Alleged Sexual Assaults
A Bellefontaine man has been indicted on 17 charges alleging sexual assault against two victims over a 20-year span.
Robert Wintersteller, 44, was arraigned in Logan County Common Pleas Court on Thursday.
Wintersteller is accused of crimes dating back to the early 1990s, according to Attorney General Mike DeWine.
"This man sexually assaulted these victims repeatedly over a period of two decades, and we fear that they are not the only ones," said DeWine in a news release.
Wintersteller has been charged with four felony rape counts, four felony sexual battery counts, six felony gross sexual imposition counts, felony importuning, misdemeanor domestic violence and misdemeanor intimidation of a victim.
Details of Wintersteller's alleged crimes were not immediately released.
Wintersteller pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
Anyone with additional information about Wintersteller is asked to call the Logan County Sheriff's Office at 937-592-5731.
