Bank Robbery Suspect Leads Police On Short Chase, Crashes Into Building


Columbus police captured a suspect in an attempted bank robbery after a brief chase through Clintonville.

Police said 54-year-old Kenneth Horsley tried to rob the Chase Bank, located at 3655 N. High Street, but left without taking anything.

Officers chased Horsley several blocks north on High Street where his vehicle ended up hitting an insurance agency building near the intersection of Amazon Place and High Street.

Police said the vehicle Horsley was driving had no license plates.

Horsley exited the vehicle and ran on foot.

Officers apprehended him behind a home.

Horsley was bitten by a dog and treated for his injuries at the scene.

There were no immediate reports of any other injuries.

Horsley has been charged with aggravated robbery.
