Athens Gunshot Victim Finally Able To Speak With Police

A man who showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound in Athens Tuesday is finally able to speak with police.

Jonathan W. Zesiger told officers that he was shot after a physical altercation with unknown individuals.

A relative took Zesiger to a hospital.

Zesiger was shot in the neck, and some of his personal property was taken.

Police had been unable to talk to him because he was airlifted from O'Bleness Memorial Hospital to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for his injuries.

The Athens Police Department is still trying to determine the location the incident took place.
