Apple Recalling ‘Small Percentage’ Of iPhone 5 Batteries

The tech giant announced on Monday it is recalling “a very small percentage” of iPhone 5 batteries.  The action comes after Apple says the phone may experience a “shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently.”

The recall impacts iPhone 5 smartphones sold between September 2012 and January 2013, and only those that fall within a certain range of serial numbers.

Apple has launched a website to determine if their phone is eligible.
