Alert Cancelled After University Of Oklahoma Officials Find No Evidence Of Shooting

The University of Oklahoma says authorities have found no evidence of shots being fired on campus and no injuries have been reported.
University spokeswoman Catherine Bishop says in a statement that normal campus operations have resumed except for Gould Hall, where additional checking is continuing Wednesday.

Officials at the University of Oklahoma had reported a shooting on its campus website and advised everyone to shelter in place Wednesday around noon. The school posted a notice on its website that people should avoid Gould Hall.A notice sent by its Twitter account said: "Seek immediate shelter in place."
The university is located in Norman, about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City.
