Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead At 46

Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in his New York apartment.

According to national news sources, Hoffman died from an apparent drug overdose.

Hoffman, 46, won an Academy Award for best actor for the 2005 biopic "Capote."
CBS News reported that Hoffman leaves behind a partner and two young children.

The actor struggled with substance abuse in the past, but had been clean for 23 years until he fell off the wagon in 2012. In May of 2013, he completed a 10-day substance abuse treatment program, according to CBS News.
