911 Call: Man Whose Throat Was Cut Said He Had Been Struck With Pipe
911 Calls in connection with a man found with his throat cut were released on Friday.
Several drivers stopped to help 49-year-old Larry Joe Graves, who was found Thursday morning along Alum Creek Drive near Rathmell Road.
He was found lying next to his truck in a pool of blood with an apparent neck injury.
“The man got robbed,” said a driver who called 911. “He was changing a flat out tire. Someone hit him over the head with a pipe.”
It turned out that Grove was cut on the throat.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
An investigation continues into Groves’ attack.
