7 Charged After Drug Trafficking Raids Near Buckeye Lake

Seven people now face charges after a series of drug raids near Buckeye Lake this week.

A number of law enforcement authorities teamed up to serve the warrants near Millersport and Fairfield Beach.

Six of the nine people authorities were searching for were arrested.

Todd E. Maharg, 22, was charged with criminal possession of an explosive device after authorities found and detonated an improvised explosive device allegedly set as a booby trap. The trap was found while officers executed a search warrant at his house along Shell Beach Road on Thursday.

Catherine L. Freas, 34, of Thornville, and Ashley L. Dorsett, 20, of Millersport, were each charged with two counts of trafficking Heroin; John K Cremeans Jr., 42, of Thornville, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs; Mark T. Alkire, 42, of Millersport, was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin; Christoper A. Voelker, 20, of Thornville, was charged with four counts of trafficking in drugs; and Richard L. Tracy, 69, of Thornville, was charged with two counts of trafficking of drugs.

All were being held in the Fairfield County Jail on bond.
