3 City Employees Resign After Inappropriately Using City Vehicles, Clocking In And Out

Two Columbus construction inspectors and a city engineer have been forced to resign.

Rick Tilton of the Columbus Department of Public Service said that Peter Biscus, 60, Richard Ratcliff, 51, and James Bushby, 43, resigned after an investigation showed that they were inappropriately using city vehicles and inappropriately clocking in and out of work.

The three resigned on Tuesday after being confronted with evidence. Their last day will be on Thursday.

According to Tilton, the three would have been fired if they had not resigned.

Tilton said that odd data on a GPS system tipped the department off.

No criminal charges will be pursued.

It was not immediately known how long the inappropriate actions had been going on.
