One person was injured in a shooting on the east side of Columbus Thursday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the 2200 block of Cannon Point Court just before 4:30 p.m.

According to police, an adult male was shot in the mid-section.

The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, but detectives said late Thursday that his condition seemed to be improving.

Police said someone went inside his apartment and demanded money, then shot him.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Police stopped a white Chevy Impala on East Livingston Avenue after the shooting.

Detectives told 10TV that the two people who were inside the car, a man and a woman, were likely just witnesses to the shooting, but were taken to be questioned.

So far no one's been charged in the shooting.
