2 People Injured In Crash On U.S. 23 Near Waverly


The Ohio Highway Patrol said two people were injured in a crash on U.S. Route 23 at Blain Highway, north of Waverly.

Investigators said a Chrysler Sebring failed to yield at a stop sign and hit a Chevrolet Van around 7:15 a.m.

Barbara Ross, 48, of Chillicothe, was driving the Sebring and was transported to Pike Community Hospital with minor injuries.

Dariel Reeves, 39, of Waverly, was taken to Adena Hospital with serious leg injuries. She was then transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

U.S. 23 was closed for more than an hour.

The crash remains under investigation.
