2 Men Attempt To Steal $12,000 Diamond From Dublin Store

Dublin Police are searching for two men who tried to seal a diamond from a Dublin jewelry store.

Detectives said the men tried to rob the Leo Alfred Jewelers near West Dublin-Granville Road and Shamrock Boulevard late Monday afternoon.

The suspects apparently were trying to get ahold of a two-carat diamond valued at $12,000.

The two men fled on foot after abandoning a stolen vehicle near the store.

No other details of the robbery attempt were released.
