2 Accused Of Putting Body In Suitcase, Dumping It After Drug Overdose
Two people are accused of dumping a man's body following a drug overdose in February.
The body of Nathan P. Birdsall, 32, was discovered in a Dumpster near Sierra Ridge and Ponderosa Drives.
Police have now charged Deshawn M. Gray, 32, and Kimberly Hickok, 32, for dumping Birdsall's body.
According to investigators, Birdsall overdosed in a hotel room at the Best Western on Airport Drive.
Police accused Gray and Hickok of putting his body in a suitcase. Gray allegedly threw the body into the Dumpster.
The two were arrested Thursday afternoon.
Gray faces abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence charges. Hickok is charged with tampering with evidence for removing syringes from the hotel.
Authorities say Gray is a known heroin trafficker.
