19 Indicted In Marion On Drug Charges
Local Law enforcement in Marion, as well as federal law enforcement agencies, announced a 72-count indictment involving 19 suspects on drug related charges Wednesday afternoon.
The federal indictment details a two-year investigation in the trafficking of large amounts of heroin, crack cocaine and prescription pills in Marion.
Investigators say out of town dealers purposely set up shop in Marion for the sole purpose of dealing drugs in the city.
They say drugs were brought in from Detroit, Michigan, and Fort Wayne, Indiana to Marion where they were sold to dozens of people including juveniles.
The indictment goes on to details transactions, phone calls and other actions related to their sale and distribution of drugs.
