17-Month-Old Found Safe After Statewide Amber Alert Issued

A statewide Amber Alert for a 17-month-old was canceled Christmas Eve after a 17-month-old child believed to have been abducted was found safe.

According to the Ohio Amber Plan, a 17-month-old child, identified as Otise Hasker, was abducted from Stark County at about 5 p.m. in the 1700 block of 14th Street in Massillon.

The baby’s mother, Marshia D. Hasker, 20, also was missing.

The child was believed to be in a gold/tan four-door Buick Century with three men, all described as black and wearing gray hooded sweatshirts.

No other details were immediately released.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued at about 6:30 p.m.
