13-Year-Old Charged In Connection With Bomb Threat At Zanesville School

A teenager is facing charges after allegedly writing a bomb threat that prompted the evacuation of a high school and middle school in Zanesville earlier in the week.

Officials told 10TV News that a 13-year-old is charged with inducing panic and was being held at a juvenile detention center.

According to the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, the student allegedly left a threatening note in a bathroom at the Maysville middle and high school complex, located on Panther Drive, on Tuesday.

Sheriff’s officials said that deputies found there to be no credible threat.

Students were forced from their classrooms for about three hours as officials investigated.
