10 Investigates: Man Killed In Clintonville Gun Battle Had Several Gun Violations In Past
10 Investigates has learned that the man who died in a Columbus gun battle on Wednesday had an arrest record that included several alleged gun violations.
Police released his name Wednesday night and identified him as Emanuel Gatewood.
Court records show police arrested Gatewood numerous times over the past six years.
In several instances, police arrested him with weapons.

Columbus police arrested the 24 year old back in 2007, when he allegedly possessed a .380 semi-automatic handgun.
One report from the time described it as loaded with "ammo ready at hand."
Gatewood ultimately pleaded guilty to a robbery charge, but was not charged for the weapon.
In 2008, police arrested him with a different handgun. He pleaded guilty to a felony weapons charge in that case.
In April of 2012, police arrested him yet one more time.
A Columbus police officer said he found a loaded Glock 9 millimeter in Gatewood's car.
The officer reported it was loaded and "ready at hand" under the seat. However, 10 Investigates could not find any record that the charge was pursued
In more than one case, Gatewood was charged with crimes but wound up beating them or getting them reduced.
