1 Man Facing Charges Following Home Invasion Involving Masked Men

Police were investigating a shooting during an alleged home invasion in the 2800 block of Vanderberg Avenue.
The victim, 38-year-old Richard Cox, told officers four men with black masks entered his home around midnight Wednesday.
Another witness told police they heard five gunshots fired at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Cox with a gunshot wound to his hand. He was taken to Mount Carmel West and is expected to recover.
Police said the suspects were seen running down Harris Avenue shortly after the alleged home invasion, and authorities also found a blood trail behind a Harris Avenue home.

Officers said they found a second victim in a home on Vanderberg Avenue. That man, 23-year-old Arren Kackley, now faces charges.

Kackley is charged with felonious assault. He was treated at the Ohio State University Hospital before being taken to the Franklin County Jail.
