1 Killed, 4 Injured In Crash On I-71 In Morrow Co

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a crash on I-71 South near state Route 61 on Saturday night.

Jovan Johnson, 31, of Columbus died at Morrow County Hospital following the crash.

Johnson was in a Ford Explorer with four other people that overturned multiple times on the highway.

Joseph Lindsey, 46, Dion Holmes, 42, William Johnson, 39, and Kenneth Langhorne, 32, were also injured after being ejected from the vehicle.

Lindsey and Holmes were transported to Grant Medical Center by EMS. Johnson and Langhorne were flown to the Ohio State University Hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. It has not been determined who was driving.

The OHP says speed and alcohol are considered contributing factors in the crash.
