The Ohio Highway Patrol says US 62 is closed northeast of Johnstown because of a deadly crash involving three vehicles.

The crash happened just before 8:00 A.M. just north of Dutch Lane Northwest.

Troopers tell 10TV that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were rushed to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries.

Troopers believe distracted driving may have played a role in the crash.

The OHP says the crash was caused by a Chevy HHR going left of center and striking the car head on.

Then, a SUV coming down the road did not have time to stop and crashed into the wreckage.

The names of the people involved have not been released.

The highway was shutdown for two hours while investigators were on scene.
