One person was fatally stabbed east of downtown Columbus Saturday morning.

Columbus homicide detectives were called to the scene at the 1000 block of Fair Avenue just before 11 a.m.

A tenant at the address found the victim with a stab wound to the abdomen.

A caller to 911 told dispatchers the door to the apartment was open and the man appeared dead.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The 911 caller told dispatchers the man was also stabbed a few weeks ago, possibly by a woman.

A neighbor described the location where the stabbing took place as a transient boarding house.

"They definitely rent the rooms out to different, I would say there's probably five or so guys going in and out on a daily basis so I know there's several single guys living there," said Jay Huges.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

No arrests have been made.
